"Are you sure you want to get this game?"
"I'm positive..." I said, waving around the newly released game, Sonic R.
"I'm warning you...that game has a curse to it..." The cashier shuddered.
"Whatever, I don't believe in curses." I announced. "Now, are you gonna give me my change?"
"Right, sorry..." the cashier mumbled.
He counted the change, and I made sure he counted the change right, because he was shaking like a wet dog. I sighed and walked out of the store, then whipped out my phone to text my mom about my new game. I had a text message.
123: I know who you are...
123: You'd better stop, before it's too late...
Me: Who the hell is this?
123: You'll find out, but first you need to be taught something...
Me: Taught what?
123: A lesson...
My phone immediately shut off, all by itself.
The hell? I thought.
I shrugged it off, then continued to walk to my house. When I started to walk up my driveway, I felt that I was being watched. I turned around, but nothing was there.
Strange, I thought.
I unlocked the front door and yelled, "Mom?"
"What's up, honey?" she said, walking down the stairs.
She had gloves on, she must have been cleaning.
"I got the newest Sonic game, Sonic R!" I said.
"That's great!" Mom said. "How about you play the game in your room, and I'll be in the kitchen if you need me."
"Okay, thanks mom!" I yelled, running up the stairs to my room.
I went to my Playstation 2 (I know, it's an old thing...), and unwrapped the controller. I put the game in, and the start screen popped up. Before I clicked start, I glanced at my digital clock. 2:16 p.m.
I began to play the game, and I eventually unlocked all of the characters, including Tails, and I had finished the whole entire game 100% complete. It was an awesome game.
Suddenly, I heard a scream, a shredding noise, and a loud thump!
I ran downstairs. You don't want to know what I saw. At first, a red jewel, claws, sharp teeth, and a sea of blood. My mom was on the floor, bleeding her life out.
"H-h-help m-m-me...." my mom stuttered, then coughed up blood.
To tell the truth, I was scared, horrified, and disgusted all at the same time. I wanted to help her.
"DoN't hELp hEr..." a voice said.
For whatever reason, I obeyed the voice.
"GoOd GirL," the voice echoed.
I smirked as I watched my mother die right in front of me. That doll was making me go insane.
I looked at the clock again. 10:51 p.m. I was tired, so I brushed my teeth, got into my pj's, and crawled into bed. Yet I couldn't fall asleep.
Then I saw the red jewel again. I turned the light on, to see who was there. There was a doll, that looked just like Tails from Sonic R, but he was covered in stitches. He had black eyes with red pupils and blood dripping from his sockets. He had a big smirk on his face.
I rubbed my eyes, to see if I was imagining things, but when he was still there, I screamed.
"iN ThE dEePeSt PiT oF tHe UnKnOwN, iN tHe mOsT DiStaNt ReAcHeS oF dEsPAir, iN tHe VeRy DePtHs oF yOuR MiNd AnD sOuL, YoU WiLL NoT FiNd HoPe. yOu WiLL NoT FiNd SaLvATiON. YoU WiLL FiNd OnLy mE!" The doll said, smirking.
By pure luck, I had a knife in my room. I walked over to the doll, and stabbed it. It didn't move, it didn't even bleed.
"CaN yOu FeeL ThE SuNsHiNe?" the doll taunted, and unsheathed his claws.
With that, he lunged at me. Pain soared through me as his claws ripped through my flesh.
"sLeEp WeLL!" he sang as he delivered the killing blow.
I felt dizzy from blood loss, I saw the red jewel, and passed out. I woke up in the hospital some time later. I had to have surgery in my stomach. I will never forget that doll.
Can you feel the sunshine?
